What is the difference between conventional and strategic (basal) implants?

Conventional implants often require a waiting period of 3-6 months for osseointegration (fusion with the jawbone) before a crown can be placed. Strategic (basal or cortical) implants, on the other hand, are designed for immediate loading, allowing for the placement of a crown within 72 hours. This significantly reduces treatment time and is often suitable for patients with less bone density, avoiding the need for bone grafting.
